Little Golden Book Character Playskool Puzzles

Playskool tray puzzles started being produced around 1958 - 1959.

The following is from the back of the puzzle box.

Each puzzle subject (your child receives 4 in every package) is selected from the works of the world's most talented artists.
These artists are recognized specially for their popular appeal to children.  It is they who contribute to the success of the famous GOLDEN BOOKS*, published by Simon and Schuster, Inc.

Each GOLDEN BOOK* picture subject is permanently bonded to durable paper board-then a similar heavy stock is mounted to form a permanent tray for the scroll cut pieces.

The Package consists of a set of 4 puzzles-each different in number of pieces-each different as to the selected art subject.

It is to the beginner's advantage to let him first begin with the 'starter-12 pieces" and proceed to the next most difficult puzzle.
If yours is an exceptional child and more pieces are desired-you may combine two or more puzzles
to the greater challenge of 26 up to 60 pieces.

Children 4 years to 8 years treasure these 8" x 10"  enlarged reproductions of the most famous of GOLDEN BOOKS* story scenes.  Playskool GOLDEN BOOK* inlay puzzles have a lasting play value.
